theWord Edition
For years, a Church Epistles module has been circulating for e-Sword and theWord. The old module merely contains the introduction—and not the rest of the book—not even 15% of the whole book. Below (see Contents) is the whole book, complete with Bullinger’s parallel outlines (broken into “a”, “b”, etc.)

About Church Epistles
Dr. Bullinger presents an outstanding and scholarly work on Romans to Hebrews, complete with thorough outlines and comments. The outlines are in Bullinger’s style, starting by outlining each Epistle in relation to the other Epistles. Then he shows a general outline of each Epistle, where he breaks the general outline into more specific outlines of passages. Bullinger likes to illustrate parallelisms, which enables the user to understand the development of each thought and principle.

Usually identified as Hyper-dispensationalism—which recognizes a clear distinction between the Church and Israel and says that the Church began with the ministry of the Apostle Paul—E.W. Bullinger focuses here on Paul's epistles to the churches, defending them as God's unique revelation and expounding on the great truth of the Mystery, or Body of Christ.

Church Epistles is one of Bullinger’s “cross over” books, having broader appeal than his core theology. That’s one reason why Church Epistles has been reprinted so many times, and is in print today.

About E.W. Bullinger
Ethelbert William Bullinger was born on December 15 in Canterbury, England. He was a direct descendent of the great Swiss Reformer Johann Heinrich Bullinger, a covenant theologian, who succeeded Zwingli in Zurich in December of 1531.

Bullinger was educated at King's College, London. He was a recognized scholar in the field of biblical languages. The Archbishop of Canterbury granted him an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree in 1881 in recognition of his biblical scholarship.

Some of his best known works are The Companion Bible, Number in Scripture, Word Studies on the Holy Spirit, The Witness of the Stars, The Book of Job, Figures of Speech Used in the Bible, Great Cloud of Witnesses, The Critical Lexicon and Concordance to the English and Greek New Testaments, How To Enjoy the Bible and Commentary On Revelation.

Bullinger believed in and taught the pretribulation, premillennial rapture. He is also considered an untra, or hyper-dispensationalist because he taught that the gospels and Acts were under the dispensation of law, with the church actually beginning at Paul's ministry after Acts 28:28.
