This Bible Module has 4 major parts:
(1) The Torah (Genesis-Deuteronomy) is the Targum of Onkelos,
(2) The Prophets are from Targum Yonatan ben Uziel (Targum Jonathan to the Prophets) compiled from the CAL website
(3) The Writings for the rest of Tanakh (the Old Testament) are various and also compiled from the CAL website
(4) The Brit Chadesha (New Testament) is the Aramaic Peshitta converted to Hebrew square script for ease of reading

Aramaic was the vernacular of Messiah and the Disciples, and serious scholarly study of these Aramaic documents is currently in high demand.

Thank you for this excellent module. I had a rendering problem on my Linux system. In order to get the Hebrew to display properly, I had to change the Bible View to Cardo font, which doesn't look too good in my English bibles. So I added the following lines at the beginning of the end matter of this module's text file, and that enabled me to set the Bible View back to my preferred English font and still see this module in Hebrew:

charset=177
lang ISO639-2 heb
font=Cardo
