This is the e-book "History of the Roman Colosseum" (converted from EPUB format).
This is not the same as the book of a previous work "Colosseum" which I posted
less than a year ago. Together the two books will furnish you with about all the info
you need on the Roman (Flavian ampitheatre) Colosseum in Rome. This new book
has less pictures, but Five(5) chapters and an Introduction which provide "everything
you wanted to know about the Colosseum." This work is based on the ebook (FREE) by
Charles River. It has no Copyright and a link is provided in this "theWord" version to
take you to the website where you can view other books and download "free ebooks"
Let we know if the Link doesn't work, or you can copy into your browser.
Note: This work has TONS of Information about the Colosseum, especially what
happened to it after Constantine became the first "Christian" Emperor. For instance,
did you know that it was still in partial use by one of the Gothic kings going into the
6th Century AD? In fact, during Medieval times a portion of the Coleseum was used
as a fortress, and during the 1930's Mussolini renovated part of the Colosseum to use
in conjunction with his Fascist Rallys before WW II began. And, during the world war it
was used to store ammunition and parts were used as a Bomb Shelter. Now, that one
doesn't make sense, but there are some really fantastic tidbits of information in this small
book. Have fun and enjoy.
I will try to upload a couple hi-rez screenshots later
