ABOUT THE AUTHOR:Christopher Ness was four times excommunicated; and upon the fourth, there was issued out against him a writ "de Excommunicato Capiendo," to avoid which, he removed to London in 1675, and there preached to a private congregation in Fleet-street. He died on Dec. 26, 1705, aged 84 years, to a day; and was buried in Bunhill-fields. He was upwards of sixty years in the ministry.Mr. Ness wrote several books; the principal of which were entitled--A History and Mystery of the Old and New Testaments, 4 vols, folio.--A Protestant Antidote against the Poison of Popery.--The crown and glory of a Christian-- A Christian's walk and work on earth.--Also, A Church History from Adam, and a Scripture Prophecy to the end of the world.
